Best IT MSP ("Best IT MSP", "we", or "us") runs an independent directory of managed IT service providers at www.bestitmsps.com. This policy explains what information we handle when you browse the directory or get in touch through the site, and the choices you have. It covers the website and the forms, listings, and reports we publish on it.
We keep data collection deliberately small. There are no user accounts to create, and you never have to sign in to read the directory.
When you use one of our forms (a contact message, a quote request, a "List Your MSP" submission, or a request to claim or advertise a listing), you decide what to share. That is usually your name, work email, company, phone number, and whatever details you type into the message. A third-party form service delivers these submissions to our inbox at hello@bestitmsps.com. We use them only to reply to you, to pass a genuine buyer enquiry to the provider it is meant for, or to process the listing you asked for.
As on most websites, our host and any analytics tools record standard technical data when you visit. That includes an approximate location from your IP address, your device and browser type, the pages you open, and the site you arrived from. We read this in aggregate to keep the site running and to see which pages are useful.
Our provider profiles are built from public sources: a company's own website, public business records, and publicly published review ratings. This is business information about the providers we rank, not personal account data about you. Any provider can claim, correct, or ask us to remove its own listing.
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the directory still works without them. We do not sell your browsing activity, and we do not run our own cross-site advertising trackers. Because the standards behind them differ, we do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
We pass on what you send us only where it is needed to do what you asked or to run the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal details we hold about you, and we act on reasonable requests. Email hello@bestitmsps.com or use our contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data, such as getting a copy, correcting or deleting it, moving it elsewhere, or objecting to or limiting how it is used. Tell us what you need and we will honor it under the laws that apply to you. We do not sell your personal information, and you can withdraw any consent you gave at any time.
To protect your privacy, we take reasonable steps to confirm who you are before we act on a request to access, change, or delete information. Content that others have already copied or that search engines have cached may stay visible until those third parties refresh it.
We hold form submissions only for as long as we need them to handle your request and keep our records, then remove them. We protect information with standard safeguards such as encrypted connections, restricted access, and reputable service providers. No method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
The directory is a business service and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We and the vendors that run the site for us may store and process information in the countries where we and they operate, which can be different from where you live. The data-protection laws in those countries may differ from your own. By using the site, you agree to your information being handled this way.
We update this policy when our practices change and note the date at the top. Material changes take effect once posted here, so it is worth checking back from time to time.
