Sam Sapp serves as Owner at Lockbaud, a managed IT and cybersecurity provider in Kansas City, MO, leading its work across Managed IT Support, Cybersecurity, and VoIP Solutions.
Sam Sapp is the owner of Lockbaud, a Kansas City IT, cybersecurity, and cloud services provider. He started taking systems apart and probing them as a teenager and went on to spend roughly 15 years in IT, coming up through help desk work at an internet service provider and a desktop technician role at IBM.
He later held systems and management roles at two Kansas City MSPs that went on to successful exits: Netsolus (now IP Pathways) and Pendello (now Complete Technology). He has run Lockbaud for nearly seven years.
Sapp says the company grew out of something personal, with people who showed up for him during a hard season, and describes Lockbaud's approach as building partnerships rather than collecting clients.
