Jairo Rugel is President and Owner of Newport County Computers in Middletown, Rhode Island. He has over 30 years of hands-on experience and has worked across a wide range of hardware and software technologies, solving technical problems of all kinds.
Before his IT career, he served as a Sonar Technician in the U.S. Navy. He went on to build two successful ventures, ATC Tech Inc (the parent company, established near Newport in 2002) and Newport County Computers (opened in 2011). He credits their continued success to strong customer service, attention to detail, and technical knowledge, qualities he works to develop in his team.
Jairo is active in the Aquidneck Island community. He serves as a board member for the Newport County Chamber of Commerce and The Fort Adams Trust, is a member of the Newport Elks Lodge where he offers free technology classes, was appointed Treasurer for The North End Club, and worked for many years with the Middletown Little League as a coach and manager.
