In the early summer of 2008, he and a few others broke away from a larger company that was having leadership problems and started their own firm, originally called Symmetric Engineering Group, to deliver better IT support and tailored IT services to businesses in their area. The company has served the SMB market in the Tampa area since then.
Under his leadership the firm expanded to upstate New York (Saratoga Springs) in late 2015 and added a Kansas City presence in 2019 through a colleague who joined and brought his client base. In 2020 the company moved offices and changed its name to Symmetric IT Group.
He describes the company's approach as proactive rather than reactive: assessing a client's current situation to identify gaps and risks, building and implementing a customized plan, and providing ongoing monitoring, training, and support following industry best practices for performance and security.
