Gary Tonniges Jr. is the CEO and founder of TriQuest Technologies, an IT services firm in downtown Fort Worth. He has worked in technology for more than 27 years.
He graduated from Texas A&M in 1992 with an accounting degree and joined an accounting firm intending to become a CPA. After repeatedly seeing the firm's outsourced IT team dismiss problems as 'computer gremlins,' he taught himself systems and networking through self-study and research, took over the firm's IT support, and was eventually put in charge of a new IT services group with full P&L responsibility, helping clients with their technology and security.
After five years he left to start his own company. On October 13, 1997 he founded TriQuest Technologies with the goal of building an IT company with the ethics of a CPA firm, starting with one customer and three employees. His wife Cyndy joined the business in 1999.
TriQuest works with companies of all sizes across industries, focusing on helping clients use technology to improve productivity and protect their systems and data.
