He founded the company in 2001 as Enlighten Technologies, an IT consulting firm specializing in small to medium sized business, based in Bloomfield Hills, MI. By 2005 the firm had become a Microsoft Certified Partner and the largest Apple Certified Consultant in Michigan.
In 2009 Enlighten Technologies rebranded as Detroit IT, shifting to a managed service provider model with a focus on both PCs and Macs and a strong Apple support practice.
