David A. Milman is the CEO of RESCUECOM. He began his computer career in 1985 at age 19 with nothing more than $100 and a 1978 Datsun 280Z, building a business that earned a reputation for top-quality work and customer service.
By 1989 the business topped $1 million in revenue, but delivering the same quality became harder as it hit a glass ceiling. Milman's solution was to standardize and fully automate the delivery of computer services, summed up in his 1997 line about making ordering computer repair and support as easy and fast as ordering a large order of French fries.
He spent 17 years building his patented SYSTEM ONE (patent number 6898435), which connects technicians to customers through a wireless handheld system, and later designed a customer-facing version, the patented iProtector (patent number 8832424), which defends computers from online attacks and lets customers set up service calls with a click.
