Dave Monahan is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Smart Dolphins IT Solutions. He founded the company on May 1, 2000, out of the back room of his house, originally to fulfill the work-experience requirement of his technology schooling, then kept building it once it became clear he had started something valuable.
As the company grew and hired more staff, Monahan moved away from the technology side to work on the business itself. He describes himself as always seeking business knowledge and borrowing ideas from others who have been successful, which he credits with pushing Smart Dolphins to keep adapting and ultimately adopt the managed IT services approach it delivers today.
Today he focuses on thought leadership, growth, and building an award-winning team and workplace.
