Christian Huete is the CEO of Crescent Tek, a New Orleans-area managed service provider. He has taken the company from one account in 2008 to more than 100 accounts today, applying two decades of experience using information technology to deliver business process solutions with a focus on customer service. He spearheads the company's projects and product reviews and manages day-to-day operations for the support and administrative teams.
A native of New Orleans, Christian graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School and then Loyola University, New Orleans, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Out of college he served two years as a police officer while taking night classes in Information Systems before pursuing a career in IT.
He got his first IT job about 20 years ago, starting on the help desk and quickly moving up to network administrator. His experience spans network and system design, project management, server/application support, and phone systems. In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina, he served on the New Orleans team that set up the mesh wifi system as part of the emergency response.
