Bob Chandler is the owner and a Certified Consultant of MacVantage, an IT support and consulting firm serving businesses, nonprofits, and individuals across North Carolina from Raleigh.
He first used the original Macintosh in 1984 while working as a campus minister for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, using a single system to track donors, maintain a mailing list, write talks, make posters, and organize conferences. That experience showed him how the effective use of technology could free people from tedious tasks.
Four years later he became an instructor for MacAcademy, a national company that trained people, including Apple's own employees, on the technology, an experience that included meeting Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. He wanted to bring a high-quality training and consulting resource home to Raleigh.
In 1992 he officially launched MacVantage, Inc. together with his wife Cindy, who serves as Chief Financial Officer. He has kept the company on the cutting edge of technology and prioritizes open communication with clients, making the technical understandable.
